General Terms and Conditions

First - Purpose

The company Thuya S.L., through its various distributors, is organising a worldwide eyebrow and eyelash championship.

Second - Scope

The championship will be extended throughout the international territory in which Thuya operates with its various distributors who decide to participate.

Third - Duration

The championship will be held in two phases. The first phase will run from 1 July 2024 to 28 February 2025, with events taking place in the different countries participating in the competition. The second phase will be held in Barcelona, Spain with the winners of each category from each country during May or June 2025.

The registration date will depend on the date of the event in your country.

Any registration for the championship after the deadline will not be valid.

Fourth.-Participation requirements

Only individual persons, over 18 years of age, and industry professionals may participate in the championship.

Fifth: Mechanics of participation

The conditions of participation for all interested persons are as indicated below:

  1. Once participants submit their application, the organisers have a period of up to 5 working days to contact the participant and process their registration via email or telephone.
  2. A professional has the possibility to participate in both categories, Eyebrows and Eyelashes. In case you are interested in participating in more than one nomination, you should consult the form of acquisition of the second nomination according to the regulations in your country.

3.Each participant will receive a complete participation kit.

4.The organiser of each country will provide: 1 stretcher/chair, 1 light ring, trolley/table for material, disposable material (gloves, cotton discs, isopes and tissues) **.

5.It is the responsibility of the participant to bring his/her own model. The attendance of the model to the event, as well as their punctuality, must be handled directly by the participant and the organization (the distributor of each country) is not responsible for any failure that may arise. In case the participant cannot bring his/her own model and needs one, he/she must inform the corresponding organisation, at least 2 weeks in advance, in order to be able to help him/her.

In case the participant does not inform in advance about the lack of his model, he will be out of the championship and the organisation (the distributor of each country) will not be responsible for this and the participation fee will not be refunded.

6.The professional must be present at the event 1 hour before their nomination to check in, receive the corresponding documents, the number for their model and go through the photo area.

  1. Once each nomination has been completed, the contestant must accompany his/her model to the photo area, collect his/her workstation and leave everything tidy.

8.Participants must wear the championship T-shirt provided with the kit.

Sixth - Prizes

Each distributor will award prizes (provided by Thuya Spain) to the 3 winners in each category of the first phase at the end of the competition, receiving the following prizes according to their position:

  • 1st prize: trophy, bouquet, diploma, trip to the final and €500 cheque for Thuya products.
  • 2nd prize: trophy, bouquet, diploma and cheque for €300 worth of Thuya products.
  • 3rd prize: trophy, bouquet and diploma

In the second phase, to be held in Barcelona, Thuya will award the following 3 prizes per category:

  • 1st prize: Trophy, diploma and FINAL PRIZE CHEQUE 1000€ in cash.
  • 2nd prize: Trophy, diploma and CHEQUE 500€ (in THUYA products).
  • 3rd prize: Trophy, diploma and GIFT in product.

The prizes awarded are not exchangeable for any other product or service and are personal and non-transferable.

The winner of each category will be able to cash her cheque in her country on her return.

Seventh - Mechanics of the championship and general conditions

  1. Once the conditions and/or mandatory requirements to participate in the championship have been established, the results of the championship will be announced as follows:
    1. 1st phase: each distributor will announce the winners from their country at the end of the championship.
    2. 2nd phase: Thuya will announce the winners at the end of the championship in Barcelona (Spain).

2.Each competitor will receive his championship certificate upon completion of his participation in the first Thuya Championship 2024.

  1. Participants accept the rules and conditions of the Thuya Championship 2024 when they fill in the registration form and tick ‘you accept the terms and conditions of the championship’ as well as the use of data and images.

4.Videos and photos, event logo is the intellectual property of the event and is protected. Each participant must correctly use photos and videos recorded at the event. It is allowed to use photos and videos, logo with an official link of the championship or tagging the official social networks.

Eighth: Exclusion from the championship

In the event that it is discovered that the details of the participants are not true, or that they are fraudulent or fraudulent, they will be immediately excluded from the championship.

Ninth: Eligibility requirements

1.The winners and participants expressly accept from the moment of their participation, and without being able to allege ignorance, the legal bases of the championship, their participation in it and the transfer of their image rights during it.

2.The identity of the winners will be announced during the championships in the different countries.

Tenth - Personal data

The mere participation in the championship implies the acceptance that the data provided by the participants will be incorporated into a file owned by the distributors in each country and Thuya S.L.

The winners may exercise their rights of access, rectification, cancellation or opposition, complying at all times with current data protection regulations.

The organising company reserves the right to check the veracity of the data provided, as well as the ages and identities of the winners before proceeding to the delivery of the prizes.

Eleventh.- Transfer of image rights

The express acceptance of the prize by the winning participants implies authorisation for the transfer of the image rights of the photos and audiovisual recordings that may be made at the time of the prize-giving ceremony, as appropriate in each case. The acceptance reaches the staff of Thuya S.L. or third parties authorised by the same, and that the same be used for advertising purposes, as well as the participation in possible interviews, reports and/or social networks/web or other channels that may be carried out, waiving any type of remuneration and/or claim under any circumstances for the taking of the aforementioned images or the audiovisual recording and the transfer of the exploitation rights.

As established above, the supports, advertising and promotional assets, current or future, in which the image of the winners may appear, will be the property of Thuya S.L. and the different distributors.

Twelfth: General Rules and Regulations

Participation in the ‘Thuya Lashes & Brows International Championship’ contest implies full and complete acceptance of these Rules by the participants. In the event of any possible doubts in the interpretation of these Rules, the criteria of the organisers shall prevail. Any manifestation to the contrary, i.e. non-acceptance of the same, will imply the exclusion of the participant, and, as a consequence of the same, Thuya S.L. will be released from the fulfilment of the obligation contracted with said participant.

Thuya S.L. and the distribution districts reserve the right to exclude participants who make fraudulent use of the means of participation.

Thuya S.L. reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions in the event of justified circumstances that could affect the objectivity and transparency of the competition.

Any incident that may arise and which is not reflected in these Rules will be resolved by Thuya S.L., according to its best judgement. according to its best judgement.

Participation in this promotion implies acceptance of these terms and conditions, including the application of any tax regulations that may be applicable.
